2019 Lancaster Printers Fair
It was another glorious day in downtown Lancaster for the 2019 Lancaster Printers Fair. I was assisted again by my able-bodied son and main man, Julian—thanks a lot buddy boy! Saw some old friends and made some new ones; this Fair has been a highlight of our Fall for the past three years, and marks the end of summer/beginning of school year. Look forward to seeing you all there next year. The Lancaster Printers Fair is organized by the Heritage Museum and .918 Club (.918 refers to the measurement of “type high” when any metal or wood type has to be a certain height—in this case .918 of an inch—in order to be printed letterpress).
Other upcoming opportunities for Base Press to present/sell some sweet merch will be upcoming in November as I will have a table at the 2019 Hamilton Wayzgoose Shop and Swap on Sun. Nov. 10 in Two Rivers, Wisco, and then in Philly at the PhilaMRKT on Sat. Nov. 30 (the Sat. just after Thanksgiving) at Kismet Cowork Manayunk in Manayunk. More details and posts to follow on this, but should be a great opportunity to do some holiday shopping.
