Sincerely honored to have the letterpress print, “Tipoteca Etna,” included in the New Impressions 2024 international juried exhibition produced by the very kind folks at Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum of Two Rivers, Wisconsin. This type specimen print was produced during a brief Artist/Designer/Printer-in Residence at Tipoteca Italiana last Summer 2023, and made with the “Etna” typeface, 30 ciceros, designed and produced by Meneghello e Belluzzo from the 1930s. 4-color letterpress print, 50 x 70 cms.

New Impressions is an international, juried exhibition to showcase exploration and creativity with letterpress printing techniques. From this age-old tradition, the exhibition strives to challenge and inspire artists to continue the love of printing. New Impressions 2024 attracted 192 diverse submissions from over 100 artists. Forty-three pieces will be on display, and artists included in the exhibition are from Brazil, Spain, Japan, United Kingdom, and the United States.

This is the ninth year for this international juried exhibition, which showcases exploration and creativity with letterpress printing techniques (and we are honored to have been included five times). The exhibition will be on display at Hamilton from July through September, 2024. The jurors for 2024 were Celene Aubry, Naomi Kent, and Jim Moran.
